The voice of the oppressed is always heard all over the world, and the duty to take the hand of these oppressed people has been forgotten in history. Humanity, in general, is a family and all people are equal in principle of human dignity and responsibility, without any discrimination in terms of race, color, language or gender, with religious beliefs, political affiliation, and social status and… except good work no one is superior to another. In this regard, the Other Face of Human Rights Institute (OFOHR), in order to realize the rights of oppressed people, is trying to reach out to the oppressed people of the world by holding an international meeting to hear the call for peace, friendship and rights in this world once again. We have also tried to discuss several issues, first, exposing crimes and human rights violations against the oppressed people of Roma in Europe, especially in Sweden.
As you know, the Romans started their journey from the Indian subcontinent about 500 years ago due to the invasion of the warriors from Central Asia and Eastern Europe, and after passing through Asia, they reached the green continent of Europe. Europe that has green nature but the hearts of its rulers are black and frozen. These oppressed people suffered the greatest blows in Sweden, the Nazi German regime massacred about 500,000 of them in World War II, and then the Swedish government police forcibly sterilized about 60,000 Roma women after it and now it has kept many of them in great limitations. One of the countries that surrendered during World War II was Italy, which, despite surrendering, was attacked by Allied forces led by the United States, and a large number of innocent people, including many children, were massacred in 80 air strikes. In these attacks, the US Air Force bombed a large number of Italian historical sites, which in itself is a violation of international law on the protection of antiquities.
Another topic of discussion at this meeting is the genocide of Indigenous people of Canada. As you know, Indigenous people are the original owners of this land. During the occupation of their lands by white people, many of these innocent people were killed, and even after the complete occupation of Canada, these people became involved in racism, and many indigenous American children and girls were killed in schools and churches. They were buried in mass graves in the same places, and years later their bodies have now been discovered in a country claiming human rights.
We also intend to address the colonization of European countries in Africa and the heinous crimes of these countries in this continent. In the case of Algeria, which was colonized by the French government for 132 years, during that time about 10 million innocent people were killed for no reason, and large numbers of women and girls were sexually enslaved to the delight of French soldiers in Algeria. The oppression of the Namibian people who were colonized by Germany and the people of the Nama and Herero tribes who were brutally attacked and massacred, so that according to statistics, more than 800,000 defenseless people of Namibia were killed.
There are other countries that have had a similar and even bitterer experience, such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo. According to historical documents, King Leopold II of Belgium considered the land of the Congo not as a colony but as his personal property. Apart from the tens of thousands of Congolese who were massacred by Belgian soldiers, the amputation of thousands of Congolese people over the rubber trade is one of the dozens of crimes that have been uncovered today about the Belgian government and its contemporary history. Another massacre that took place on the African continent at the instigation and conspiracy of countries such as Germany, Belgium and France was the genocide of the Rwandan people. More than one million Rwandans were killed in the bloody massacre, which appeared to be a clash between the Hutu and Tutsi tribes. But behind the scenes, the resentment of the two tribes against each other was rooted in the laws that the Germans and the Belgians had made for them. Rules like the separation of identity cards and birth certificates of individuals of different tribes, according to which citizenship and government facilities were allocated to different Rwandan tribes with severe discrimination. It should be noted that after the bloody conflict between the two tribes, which was fueled by Germany and Belgium, the then French government also started selling weapons to the Rwandan people, while the two tribes were still in ruinous conflict.
